Bali Airport
Ngurah Rai International Airport – Denpasar, Bali (Bali Airport)
Bali international airport also known as Ngurah Rai Airport (IATA: DPS, ICAO: WADD), is located in southern Bali, 13 km south of Denpasar. It is Indonesia’s third-busiest international airport, after Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Surabaya’s Juanda International Airport (East Java). The airport is located close to the extensive tourist developments of southern Bali; the resort center of Kuta is 2.5 km north of the airport.
Geographic Location
The geographic location of Bali airport is 08.44.51 S – 115.10.09 1. It’s elevation is 4.3 M / 14 Feet and it comprises a total area of 265.60 Ha.
Information desks are located in both of domestic and international terminals.

Ngurah Rai Bali Airport
Visitors holding valid passports from designated countries can obtain either a 7 or 30 day non-extend able visa at any of the 15 airports and 21 seaports
designated as “international gateways” by the Indonesian Immigration department. The fee for this visa, payable upon landing, is US$10 for a 7 days visa and US$25 for a 30-day visa.
Customs
Weapons, narcotics, pornography, and radio-cassette players are prohibited in Bali. Yes, it is strange that cassette players are not allowed into the island but this law is rarely enforced. Anything with Chinese characters written on it is forbidden. The same rule applies to fresh fruits, plants, animals, exposed films, and videos. Pets are strictly banned to prevent the spread of rabies. But if you insist on taking your furry friends along, an official letter is needed from your veterinarian stating that your pet is disease-free but this would not guarantee quarantine. Feel free to contact your consulate/embassy for details.
You are only able to bring a maximum of one liter of alcohol, 200 cigarettes, 50 cigars or 100 grams of tobacco, and a reasonable amount of perfume into Bali. Photographic equipment, typewriters and radios are admitted, provided that they are taken out on departure. All these must be declared via a customs declaration form that must be completed before arrival. In addition, export of national treasures is frowned upon – tortoise shell, crocodile skins, and ivory are not to be taken out of Indonesia.
Business Facilities
Citibank offers executive lounges in both terminals and there is another one on the third floor with Internet access and showers. Secretarial services and catering can be organized.
Disabled Facilities
Wheelchairs, lifts and general assistance are readily available.
